Privacy policy
Last updated: February 2026
PDF Converter is built around a simple rule: your documents are yours. This page explains exactly what happens to your files and what little data we handle.
Your files
When you use a tool, the file you upload is sent over an encrypted connection to our server, where it is processed in memory (or in a short-lived temporary file) and the result is streamed straight back to your browser.
We do not store your documents. Temporary files are deleted immediately after the result is delivered, and an automatic sweeper removes anything left behind after 15 minutes. We never read, copy, share, or use your documents for any purpose other than performing the conversion you asked for.
Accounts and personal data
PDF Converter has no accounts, no sign-up forms, and no newsletters, so we never ask for your name, email address, or password.
Technical data
To protect the service from abuse, we keep a temporary, in-memory counter of how many tasks per hour each IP address runs. This counter is never written to disk or shared, and it expires automatically. Standard web-server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) may be kept briefly by our hosting provider for security and debugging.
Cookies and advertising
PDF Converter is free because it is supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense, which may set cookies to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads based on your visits to this and other sites.
The advertising script loads only if you press “Accept” in the consent banner. If you decline, no ad cookies are set and no ad requests are made. Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage (a first-party entry, not a tracking cookie) and you can change it any time by clearing your browser storage.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits. You can opt out of personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices and read how Google uses data at Google's partner-sites policy.
Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Because we don't hold accounts or stored documents, there is usually nothing of yours for us to access, correct, or delete — it is already gone. You may still contact us with any privacy request or question and we will respond. If you are in the EEA/UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA.
Children
PDF Converter is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and the “last updated” date above.

Questions about privacy? A contact address will be published here as soon as our custom domain is live. Until then, this page describes our complete data practices — there is nothing more to request, because we keep nothing.
